With a year that has been full of education and inspiration, the Women In Capoeira group will be hosting the 1st of many events. This 1 hour programme will start at 10am on the 6th May 2012 and will include the following:
- Discussion regarding the improving of social work through the use of Capoeira.
- Cultural programme - Maculelê Lesson (Afro Brazilian Dance). Don't forget your Maculelê Sticks!

Capoeira Foundation celebrates Brazil’s Independence Day

In celebrating Brazils Independence day, students and friends of the SA Capoeira Foundation had the pleasure of watching one of Brazil's foremost female artists and a voice of the Lapa bohemian district of Rio de Janeiro, Teresa Cristina.
The Foundation prides itself on being able to be a conduit in the transmission of Brazilian culture and this was a great opportunity to immerse the students in the beauty that is Samba.
